Group #1 Video critique
Brad, Tasha, Sam, Tanner, Bailey, Cam, Brooke, and Rebecca
In the video the group opened up with a skit that had the stereotypes of how girls can only do what girls are supposed to do and boys are supposed to do boy things and act like a boy. The group then went into interviews of asking peoples opinions on what a girl and a boy were like, to describe a girl and a guy and how stereotypes made them feel. The group interviewed a wide range of age groups from young toddlers to elderly people. I believed the group did a good job at meeting the requirements of the video, however they did a skit at the beginning that allowed a person watching to become interested. Although I did enjoy this groups video, the interviews were just ran on and on and I became bored.

The group made the video seem like it was a news broadcast rather than just a big commercial, I liked this idea. They had a segment where they had set up interviews in which they interviewed the perfect people when asking whether it was easier being a male or female, they also asked children what boys play with and what girls play with. This idea gave it the age fluctuation. They then brought in a movie preview of two different parents and their kids. They showed that one parent was okay with a gender playing with a toy made for the other gender and one that was not okay with it to show the stereotypical world in which we live in. Finally the unprepared interviews by The Illusion were amazing. The only issue I had was that some of their interviews were cut off. My group worked together extremely good, we did not have an issues of fighting or someone being lazy or someone taking over all the work. Everyone seemed to want to be a part of the video.

I enjoyed making this video and being in a group. The video we made was slightly different from the rest of the groups. I liked the idea of the beginning actions and the ending actions one problem I had was the glitching and the sound issue of being too quiet. the video we created was very stressful only because of the time restriction. I felt like if given more time our video would have had a few extra touches to it that would have made it spectacular. The whole process of doing this completely our own was a task in which I liked. We were able to make our videos our own. I have no problems with working in a group, however the groups were a tad too big in order to get everyone always involved. In the end my group worked extremely well together. Our group never seemed to leave anyone out or make someone do all of the work. Everyone seemed to want to be involved in the making of the video.
